Delegation of China’s tourism agency visited the Partnership Fund

David Saganelidze, CEO of the Partnership Fund hosted a delegation of Beijing Xin Changcheng International Travel Agency Limited, a Chinese giant tourism company. The company’s Executive Director Zuo Changhua led the delegation. The Chinese company is interested in investing in Georgia’s tourism and expressed readiness to involve in the tourism industry in Georgia. At the meeting, the guests expressed interest in constructing a five-star hotel as well as a golf playground. The sides also touched upon launching a direct flight among China-Georgia-Europe. Saganelidze introduced the guests to the fund’s mandate, function, priorities, as well as ongoing projects in tourism sector, including Tskhaltubo and Racha development concepts. The sides also discussed future cooperation prospects. According to the 2016 data, the number of Chinese travelers reached 122 m worldwide, which is 10% of the entire population. At the first stage, the Chinese company plans to organize high class tours in Georgia, which will popularize the Georgian culture, wine and history.
