Partnership Fund launches a new agriculture project in Samtredia

The Partnership Fund together with Georgian Fresh Holding B.V, a local company started, to implement a new greenhouse project in Samtredia, West Georgia. The project envisions construction of a greenhouse in addition to a 1.5 he land plot, where around 700 tons of various kinds of vegetables will be grown. The product will be sold locally. But, the company also expects to sell its product in the neighboring countries. The total volume of the project is 4.2 m euro. The Partnership Fund’s participation in this project equals to 1.4 m euro. The goal of this project is to replace low quality farm products on local market. Currently, 23 peoples are employed by the company, while their number will increase to 40 in the future. In order to implement this project, the Georgian Fresh Holding B.V set up Imereti Greenery LTD, a daughter company. Georgian Fresh Holding B.V started to grow various types of lettuce with the annual capacity of 160 tons.
