With the support of the Development Fund of Georgia, the Spanish company Ceramica El Torrente, with 100 years of experience and the Georgian company Ceramica El Torrente of the same name, the construction of high-tech brick factory is launched in Shida Kartli region of Georgia. The brick factory will produce 120,000 tonnes of bricks annually. The plant will employ about 50 locals.
The project combines European experience and traditional Georgian brick production methods, delivering high quality, competitive energy efficient building materials to the local and in the future to the international market. The factory will be equipped with modern Spanish production lines, machinery and equipment from a partner Spanish company. The clay quarries existing in the Kaspi region will be used in production. Modern technology bricks will be distinct with improved thermal insulation, moisture resistance, sound insulation and reduced weight.
