The Development Fund of Georgia purchased a 100% stake of Borjomi Likani from its Kazakh owners in June 2018 on a successful transaction; A few months earlier, the Rixos company, which had been managing the hotel since February 2015, had quit.

The hotel still operates under the name Borjomi Likani. 100% share is currently owned by the Development Fund of Georgia.
